Should you be charging?

Each mobile phone charger can use about £10/year in electricity by being left plugged in and switched on - even if the phone is not connected!

In fact, we suggest you check the cover of your charger to see how hot it is? If it's very warm, this is your electricity that you're being charged for that's generating this unwanted heat!

You could also save extra money by turning your mobile off overnight if you don't need it on, so you have to charge it less often.

And how many mobile phones are there in your house?

And of course, this tip can be extended to all types of charging equipment, so check around and see what can be turned off to help save on your bills.
