Don't Post, Send an Ecard
Whether it's Christmas, a birthday or whatever the occasion, you may be thinking of posting a card to someone to mark the event.
However, isn't it now time to be adopting a more environmentally acceptable approach to staying in touch with friends and family by using the Internet to send your message instead.
The main beneficiaries when we send a card appears to be the postal service. And of course at the same time we also contrive to trash our carbon footprint. And if you support a charity by buying their cards, why not give the money directly rather than force them to rip up a tree in order to make the card.
We understand that full-scale adoption of the Ecard may not be practicable, but surely it feels like the right time to be moving in that direction? And don't be afraid to take the intiative...your friends may well breathe a big sigh of relief.
Remember, it's the thought that counts.
And if you want to justify your reason to the recipient for sending an Ecard - or even help promote its use - we're more than happy if you want to send them the following link will take them through to this tip.
