Fill up your washing machine

Don't use partial loads in your washing machine or dishwasher and the next time you change, buy one of the new "drizzle" type machines they save up to 60% in water consumption and 40% in energy.

Only use a tumble dryer in an emergency - get your clothes outside on the garden line. As well as saving energy they smell better.
